### Responsibilities
This position is located in the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Lakeview District Office, Lakeview Resource Area, in Lakeview, Oregon. The incumbent provides leadership, motivation, direction, and decisions including the technical and administrative supervision of assigned employees required to implement and carry out multiple use and ecosystem management of resources (such as timber, water, wildlife, and recreation) consistent with the Bureau and Departmental Policies and within delegated authority. The incumbent makes decisions which recognize the competition for use of BLM administered lands and resources and the interest of diverse groups such as environmental groups, land developers, off road vehicle groups, outfitters and guides and other economic interest such as the livestock, timber and mining industries.

### Qualifications
TO QUALIFY FOR TEMPORARY PROMOTION: Applicants must meet the specialized experience requirements below.
Specialized Experience Requirements: In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - please be sure to include this information in your resume. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade (GS-12) of the position to be filled.
For GS-13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12. Examples of specialized experience includes: Planning, implementing, and/or administering natural resources programs in a multi-resource environment involving the management of public lands.
You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.604. If you are a current Federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
TO QUALIFY FOR A DETAIL: Applicants must have related experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the job.

This is a not-to-exceed one (1) year detail/temporary promotion assignment and may be filled at the GS-13 (dependent on qualifications). At the expiration of this assignment, or whenever your services are no longer needed, you may be returned to your position and agency of record.
BLM may use certain incentives, currently offered by the Federal government, to attract high quality applicants.
Government facilities are required to provide a smoke free environment for their employees. Smoking will be permitted only in designated areas.

### How You Will Be Evaluated
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
Upon receipt of your complete application package, a review of your application will be made to ensure you meet the basic qualification requirements. Your rating will be based on your responses to the Job Specific Questionnaire and the information stated in your resume. If qualified, your score may range from 70-100 points. In addition, interviews may be conducted for this position. The interviews may be conducted on a pass/fail basis or may be scored. The job specific questions relate to the following knowledge, skills and abilities required to do the work of this position.
1) Knowledge of management principles involved in administering resources, including watershed, realty functions, minerals, recreation, wildlife habitat, cultural resources, protection (including fire control), livestock forage, and automation. 2) Ability to analyze and evaluate work functions and capabilities against field needs and bind them into a balanced and concerted field office program in accordance with Departmental, Bureau, and State Office policies and directives. 3) Ability to strategically identify and analyze emerging sensitive and controversial issues. 4) Knowledge and skill in supervisory and managerial theories, practices and procedures. 5) Knowledge of planning and budgeting systems, including Resource Management Plans(RMPs), Activity Plans, and Annual Work Plans (AWPs).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
